all about jessie!

Hey, I'm Jessica Wimmenauer (it's like women + hour)! I moved from my hometown in Pennsylvania to New York City to pursue a career as an actress! Despite not discovering theatre until late into high school, I quickly fell in love with sharing myself on the stage. With just a few shows under my belt, I went on to Hofstra University to obtain a BFA in Theatre Arts Performance and a minor in Musical Theater.

 

​I have a few too many water signs in my chart, so displaying emotional honesty is my favorite aspect of performing. That is code for: I will cry in and at anything and everything. I excel in musicals and ensemble-based pieces, gravitating towards slightly awkward characters and anything centered around powerful women. I love to challenge myself in everything I do, which is why my dream job is to be a swing in a musical!

 

My favorite things in the world include FaceTiming my nieces and nephews, karaokeing, watching reality TV with my awesome girlfriend and cuddling with our little kitten, Gus! When I'm not acting, you can find me hanging out with my friends uptown, singing along to Lizzy McAlpine, or (still) trying to master latte hearts as a barista.
